A Little About Us:
Our club started in the late 1980s with a newspaper ad asking "Do you want to be on a drill team?" The dream of Rita
Winters, Paula Thomas and Maria Weston is what started it all. The club first formed with two branches one whose focus
was drill team and then another branch whose focus was playdays. In the early 90s, The Teagues and Paula Thomas
revamped the club as the membership changed. Today, we are primarily a playday club; however, we still have
opportunities to have a drill team for community events and have the priviledge to perform at some community rodeos.
Each year in memory of the original founder, Rita Winters we recognize a club family for service "above and beyond" to the
club--The Rita Winters' Award.
Wise County Wranglers home arena is located approximately 35 miles Northwest of Ft. Worth, Texas we are
not bound by geographical boundaries. We have member familes who reside in Wise County, Tarrant County,
Parker County, Montague County and Palo Pinto County. We do enjoy traveling to visit other clubs as well.
